Great game on August 28 when BYU played UCLA and it was intense. For the first half of the game, UCLA had a lot of close shots but BYU countered it with their great defense. UCLA scored one of their shots in the first six minutes of the game as Lily Reale assisted with the goal that Meg Boade scored. Lily Reale headed it but BYU blocked. Off the fingers of Lynette Hernaez, the goalie of BYU, and Meg Boade came up behind and put it in the back of the net. In the second half, both teams played hard but it’s no use as there ends up only being one score in the whole game and it came from UCLA.
So UCLA ended up winning 1 to 0. But BYU still did considerably well, especially for UCLA being ranked 3rd and BYU only 16th. The only, and winning goal, was Meg Boade tapping it in.
