On September 4, Brigham Young University played a soccer match against Boise State University. In the first half, BYU scored two goals. Ella Labrum scored one and Halle Dixon the other. Both of these were first career goals. In an interview, Halle said that it felt great when the ball hit the back of the net. She also said that their team had some highs and lows this season and this was one of the highs.

"The whole team must feel very uplifted, since Boise was undefeated until tonight. But if we look on the other side of this match, it might be a little discouraging to have lost their streak. If you’re an optimist you might say, 'We’ve still done great this whole season and it’s just one loss.' But if not, you’d probably be very discouraged. Still, we saw a great match tonight and both teams should be proud of what they’ve done. It looks like a promising season for both teams and I’m excited to see what the future has in store for us."
